Pizza with “OVOFLO” and oat bran crust
- Heat milk until it boils. Slowly stir in oat bran, continuing to stir until it thickens. Remove from heat. Stir in Ovoflo, Parmesan cheese, basil, oregano and salt.
- Brush olive oil on a 12-inch (30 cm) pizza pan. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp. (15 ml) breadcrumbs. Spread oat bran / Ovoflo mixture over crumbs to form crust. Top with tomatoes, mozzarella and remaining breadcrumbs.
- Bake in 200° C (400°F) oven for 30 minutes or until cheese is golden. To serve, cut into wedges. May be re-heated in the microwave on MEDIUM for 30 seconds.
Cut into 6 medium or 8 small slices.
You can add vegetables of your choosing before covering with Mozzarella and breadcrumbs : bell peppers, mushrooms, broccoli fleurets, black and green olives… You can also add salami slices, bacon bits…
